Few golfers realize that Silver Lake is a daily fee course, you can play as many holes as the day and the tee allows. NEW for this season, is our Mid-Day rate on WEEKENDS, which saves you money AND gives you more time during the day to enjoy your round.

We're also experimenting with a 9-Hole rate on our championship courses. Being golfers ourselves, we understand schedules don't always allow time for 18, stop by for a “quick 9” on a full size course.

After your round, share stories with your fellow golfers in our recently re-modeled club house, where you can enjoy complete food and beverage service – all overlooking the course, patios, gardens and our certified Audubon Sanctuary. Meetings, Banquets and Golf Outings (up to 300 guests) all expertly managed by our professional event staff.

NEW this year is our expanded Fitness area. Indulge with a massage from a licensed therapist to loosen up those muscles before or after your round. We also offer personal training from a certified CrossFit trainer. The proper exercise program can improve your game by increasing your strength, stamina and flexibility.

The centerpiece of a premier, 616-acre residential country-club community in Elgin (Kane County), Bowes Creek Golf Course is an 18-hole public course designed by award-winning architect Rick Jacobson. The environmentally planned golf course integrates all the natural elements the native landscape has to offer, including Bowes Creek, improved woodland and wetland areas, a lake, rolling farmland, stands of mature trees and scenic bluff slopes, to create an aesthetically pleasing, playable and challenging course. The rustic setting features expansive fairways and sweeping bunkers with fingers of grass drifting into the sand and fescue grasses edging the bunker faces. The course has five sets of tees for each hole and distances ranging from 6,900 yards to 5,100 yards to accommodate the dramatically different skill and experience levels of golfers.

COURSE AMENITIES include: a full practice area, complete with an elevated, 30-station driving range with target greens at varying distances, putting and chipping greens, and private lesson tees; a fully equipped proshop stocking name-brand golf equipment and a wide selection of men's and women's golf apparel; and a multipurpose clubhouse featuring locker rooms, a first-class banquet facility for events and gatherings, and Porter's Pub, a casual, cozy, English-style restaurant and bar.

MEMBERSHIP is open to the public offering full-season memberships and daily memberships (instead of green fees). Daily membership or “member-for-a-day” membership allows unlimited golf with a cart and full use of the practice facility.

Prairie Landing is a very unique, high quality Chicago suburb public golf experience located just south of the DuPage Airport off of Kautz Road in West Chicago. The golf facility features a championship 18-hole Robert Trent Jones Jr. Prairie Links style course design and one of the best practice facilities in Chicagoland that includes two regulation length par-four practice holes. The full service clubhouse is home to The McChesney Pub and Grill as well as a suburb banquet facility, golf pro shop and men's and women's locker rooms.

Upon opening, Golf Digest named Prairie Landing one of the top ten new public courses in 1995 and since then Prairie Landing has been rated 4 ˝-Star by Golf Digest “Best Places to Play”, which is a distinctive rating considering there are only 25 courses in Illinois with a 4 ˝-Star rating and no courses in Illinois that have a 5 Star rating. Zagat's 6th Edition of “America's Top Golf Courses” rates the Prairie Landing golf course as Extraordinary.

Prairie Landing's green fee options make high quality golf all-inclusive including use of the locker room, bucket of range balls, play on the practice holes and use of our short game areas. Since opening in 2003, The Highlands of Elgin has become a premier destination for thousands of golfers throughout the region. The original nine holes flow over beautiful rolling terrain, creating a diverse collection of holes. Watch for exciting development this season at The Highlands. The new quarry nine is tentatively scheduled to open July 2, 2010. The new nine holes reclaim an old stone quarry, and are routed to take maximum advantage of the unique and dramatic landforms that were left behind, including a twelve acre quarry lake. Four holes hug the top of the bluff thirty to forty feet above the water providing golfers with incredible views and numerous shot options on each hole. The collection of eighteen holes will provide golfers with an adventure through a variety of unique golf holes in a beautiful setting. The prairie style clubhouse with stunning golf course views is also open. The clubhouse features event rooms with expansive ceilings, full scale food and beverage operations, locker rooms and an expanded golf shop. The facility also features a lighted practice facility offering bent grass tees, 30 hitting stations, short game area and a 9,000 sq. ft putting green.
