18-hole stroke play two person team event with players using Handicaps. Two competitors play as partners, each playing his or her own ball while using handicap strokes. The lower Net score of the partners is the score for the team on that hole, thus taking the score of the better ball on each hole. It is the player’s responsibility to know the holes at which handicap strokes are to be given or received.
Points will be awarded to teams based on finishing order. These points will not be tallied individually, but as a team. The total number of points won at each Better Ball will be added up and teams earning enough points could qualify for the end of the year Championship.

Any two active CDGA members (female or male) with a current handicap index. The CDGA reserves the right to approve or reject any entry.
Limited to 50 teams per site.
$350 entry fee is per team. You may register for as many Better Ball events as you wish.
Prior to each event, current indexes based on the most current revision will be used.
If the most current revision happens within two days of the event, the previous revision may be used.
Afternoon shotgun start - subject to change based on club needs.
Start time and Additional information will be e-mailed and posted on the CDGA website 10-14 days prior to the event.
Your hole assignment will be provided to you at registration.

*There will be Closest to the Hole and Longest Drive prizes
In the event of a tie for the tournament the committee will use the USGA recommendation for breaking ties under Rule 33-6. The definition of the term “last nine holes” will be determined by the Committee prior to the event.
*Should the difference between the team members’ indexes (effective the day of the event) exceed 4.4, the extra strokes will be deducted from the higher index.
*Non-metal spike policy is in effect.
Players may use Distance Measuring Devices in all CDGA qualifiers and championships.
