HIGHLAND PARK, Ill. – Familiar faces reigned supreme in the 53rd CDGA Mixed Championship Wednesday at Northmoor Country Club. Douglas Meyer (Ivanhoe Club) and Lauren Meyer (Ivanhoe Club) repeated as Overall Gross champions, for their sixth CDGA Mixed title in the last seven years. The Meyers totaled 65 points in the combined Stableford scoring competition and secured the title over 2021 champions Ryan Cuitino (Morris CC) and Veronica Cuitino (Morris CC) via scorecard playoff.
Joining the Meyers in the winner's circle was the team of David Carlquist (River Forest CC) and Jean Carlquist (River Forest CC), who earned the Overall Net title with 73 points. The Carlquist's point total pushed them two shots clear of the field.
In total, 43 pairs competed in the competition, which dates back to 1974. Prizes from the likes of Zero Friction, Rocket Tour and Northmoor were awarded to the top three pairs in both the Gross and Net divisions.
