ANNOUNCEMENTS

Your official scorecard will be completed electronically. Bring your smartphone and have the My CDGA app ready to use. Do not open the electronic scoring platform until instructed (specific details provided at your starting tee).

Read through the Championship Polices / Key Information prior to the event. It is the player's responsibility to be familiar with the information provided in this link and comply with all policies set by the CDGA.

FORMAT

This is a 72-hole stroke play Championship taking place July 15 - 17. All players will play 18 holes on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the low 35 and ties advancing to the final 36 holes on Thursday.

ELIGIBILITY

The Championship is open to any amateur who is a current resident of Illinois, with a current Handicap Index® not exceeding 7.4. The CDGA reserves the right to approve or reject any entry and extend special invitations.

FIELD

PRACTICE ROUND

All contestants are entitled to play one, 18-hole practice round on Monday, July 18. Players are required to call the golf shop (630) 377-9340 in advance to arrange a starting time for the practice round. The first tee time will be at 7:30AM and the last tee time will be 3:00 PM, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Contestants may be paired with other contestants. All contestants will be required to play only one ball and must tee off from designated areas only. Players may use a golf cart during the practice round. The cart will be at the players expense.

GOLF CARTS

Are not permitted. Spectator Carts are strictly prohibited.

CADDIES

St. Charles CC will make every effort to have caddies available for the Championship if a caddie was requested. Please call the St. Charles CC Golf Shop at (630) 377-9340, to reserve a caddie. Players must call by July 8 to make the reservation. DO NOT EXPECT TO USE A CLUB CADDIE IF YOU HAVE NOT CALLED TO RESERVE ONE.

PULL CARTS

Non-Motorized Pull Carts are allowed in the State Amateur Championship.

STARTING TIMES

Play will begin at 7:30 AM Tuesday & Wednesday for the morning rounds and at 12:00 PM for the afternoon rounds. For Thursday, play will begin at 7:00 AM. There will be a 10-minute interval between each group.

FOOD SERVICES

Breakfast: Not Available
Lunch: Lunch will be provided Tuesday - Thursday for contestants only. Please read the information carefully about food service in your registration packet.

St. Charles CC will have lunch available on Monday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Halfway House. Lunch will be at the players expense and cash only.
Dinner: Not Available

LOCKER ROOMS

Available - Lockers will be available upon reservation. Please call (630) 377-9340 by July 8 if you would like to reserve a locker.

REGISTRATION - You are required to register, at the site, prior to your Tuesday tee time. Once registered, you will receive a Contestants Packet of important information regarding the championship. Please remember to fill out your bio sheet from the link in the tee-time e-mail. Registration is located by the golf shop, the times are:

Monday, July 18 - 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Tuesday, July 19 - 7:00 AM to 1:40 PM

PACE OF PLAY - Rule 6-7 of the Rules of Golf states in part: “The player shall play without undue delay.” The penalty for breach of the Rule is two strokes in stroke play. For a repeated offense, the penalty is disqualification.

Included in your Contestant’s Packet you will receive at Registration, will be the guidelines our officials will use to monitor the pace of play. Please read that sheet carefully as that is your warning for slow play.

TIME OF STARTING - Rule 6-3 provides: “The player shall start at the time established by the Committee.” If the player arrives at his starting hole, ready to play, within five minutes after his starting time, the penalty for failure to start on time is two strokes at the first hole. Otherwise the penalty for breach of this Rule is disqualification.
