FORMAT | Team Best Two Ball of Four - This is an 18-hole net stroke play event consisting of a team of four players. All players will play their own ball, with the low two scores on each hole being taken for the combined score on that hole (Net Scores).
Flights may be created based on the number of entries. |
ELIGIBILITY | Open to all CDGA members (Men, Women, and Juniors) with a valid USGA Handicap Index®. Players may register as a single or up to 4 players. If you do not register as a team, you will be paired with other players at random to form teams of 4 players. The CDGA will not honor any pairing requests for any Appreciation Day. If you would like to play with certain individuals, you must register together at the time of entry. You may change players within your group at any time. |
FIELD | Limited to 120 players (30 teams of four) Registration fee is $150 per person. |
STARTING TIMES | Shotgun start will be used for CDGA Member Appreciation Days. All start times and hole assignments will be emailed to the field 7-10 days prior to the event.. |
PRIZES | A variety of prizes will be awarded. Prizes will include foursomes to Geneva National, golf packages to Glenview Park, CDGA logoed merchandise and more. |
TIES | In the event of a tie for any prize, the USGA recommended method for breaking ties under Committee Procedures 5A(6). The Committee shall determine the definition of ``last nine holes`` as holes 10-18. |
HANDICAP ALLOWANCE | Players will be given 85% of their course handicap as is the recommendation of the USGA for this format of play. An individual player`s index is based off the USGA Handicap Index effective seven days prior to the event. |
ADDITIONAL INFO | Entry fee includes: Golf, Cart, Lunch, Tee Gift, Contests, Post Event Food & Drink. Players will receive a CDGA hat, CDGA towel, Zero Friction tees, GPGC branded item and Jersey Mike`s Sandwich coupons. All players are eligible to participate in Closest to the Hole, Long Drive and a Post Round Putting Contest. |
