FORMAT | Two-Person team format consisting of a series of three events and a Championship. The first event in the series will take place on June 21 and is a Two-Person Net Better Ball. The second will take place on July 13 and is a Two-Person Scramble. The third and final event in the series before the Championship will take place on August 10 and is a Two-Person Stableford. For the Championship in September, qualifying teams will compete in six holes of each format over the course of 18 holes. |
ELIGIBILITY | Age Limit: min: 50 Index Limit: max: 36.4 Senior Women`s Division: For female players, turning 50 as of May 1, 2023 and older with a Handicap Index limit of 36.4 or lower |
FIELD | 20 teams (40 players). Registration fee is $200 per team. |
PARINGS | Pairings will be released 7-10 days prior to each qualifier and Championship. |
TIES | In the event of a tie for the Championship or qualifying place, under Committee Procedures 5A(6) matching scorecards, the Committee will use the USGA recommendation for breaking ties. The definition of the term ``last nine holes`` will be holes 10-18. |
HANDICAP ALLOWANCE | Two-Person Net Better Ball: Players will receive 100% of handicap. Should the difference between the team members` indexes (effective the day of the event) exceed 4.4, the extra strokes will be deducted from the higher index. Two-Person Scramble: A team`s total index will be used to establish a team course handicap based on the recommended USGA handicap formula: 35% A Player (Lowest Handicap) and 15% B Player (2nd Lowest Handicap). Indexes are based off the USGA Handicap Index effective seven days prior. |
ADDITIONAL INFO | Points will be awarded to teams based on finishing order. These points will not be tallied individually, but as a team. The total number of points won at each Senior Tour Edge Trifecta qualifier will be added up and teams earning enough points could qualify for the end-of-the year Championship. |
